Hollomans
Hollomans is a group of education and daycare centers in Southeast Virginia, operating 4 facilities that serve over 800 children from Kindergarten through 6th Grade.
The primary need was an overhauled brand image and a new website. The soldier was already a registered trademark for Hollomans but it was an illustration rather than vector art. They did not have a set typeface or a proper logo. The biggest challenge was to figure out how to use the soldier icon in a way that could be recognized in a smaller context. They love the resulting logo.
The branding and website followed the lead of the clean, rounded logo, with additional cues to the website that clearly said “children” and “happiness”. We did this through bright, crayon-like colors and a background that added rich depth and color. The target market for this website was parents, either of current or prospective students, and therefore we wanted it to accomplish a few specific things:
- give the impression of a bright, happy environment for children.
- give basic information about Hollomans.
- give parents a way to interact, namely through pictures and a blog.
- provide a simple point of contact for interested parents.
