Morgan James Publishing
Morgan James is a Manhattan-based publishing company that focuses on publishing business and self-help books. The following project was completed in 2009.
First, we started with a redesign of the logo. The changes added a 3D effect to the logo and introduced blue as a stronger element of their branding. Next, we went after their website.
After reviewing different options, we decided to develop a WordPress site for their new identity. The WordPress site utilized several areas that were membership only areas, serving special content to paying authors that will help them promote themselves and get access to certain events.
I was then able to help guide the staff into mavking use of the social web, creating a good Facebook fan page, and implementing Twitter into the regular communication of the staff. Overall, the effect was a much broader reach than the previous website and branding had, which was limited to the branding on the books, news publicity, and the static website.
